Every year and all year long, many people visit Myrtle Beach, a golf haven, as it is a city that offers many attractions for all ages, but most importantly, people come here to play such an amazing sport: golf!

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina offers over 100 golf courses and offers some of the top 100 public golf courses in the US. Some of these public courses are: Dunes Golf and Beach Club, Caledonia Golf and Fish Club, Barefoot Resort and Golf, TPC Myrtle Beach, Grand Dunes and many more. This city is considered the golf capital of the USA because of the variety of courses to play, the great weather, fantastic deals and the overall atmosphere of each course. Speaking of the variety of golf courses to play, don’t forget about the number of signature golf courses Myrtle Beach has to offer. Some of the signature golf courses are designed by Greg Norman, Pete Dye, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio, Robert Trent Jones and many more incredible people!

The golf courses located here have unlimited options of packages to choose from. Myrtle Beach gets many sunny days a year and that makes perfect golf weather! The average temperature in January and February is around 50 degrees. A lot of people escape the cold to come down and play golf since most golf courses in the North don’t open until March due to weather.

Whether you are here to play golf for a company outing or with friends, Myrtle Beach also offers golf events that happen every year at a certain time. Some of those well-known events are:

  • Monday after the Masters: This event has evolved into one of the top Celebrity Pro-Ams in the country. This awesome event happens every year in April and takes place at Barefoot Resort and Golf.
  • Women’s Golf Day: This four-hour event happens globally where women and girls of all ages can learn golf for the first time or improve on the skills they already know. Last year, Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy in North Myrtle Beach was one of the host cities for this awesome event.
