Optimist Tournament 2018

The Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy hosted its first tournament of the year on March 3rd- 4th. The academy partnered with Optimist Junior Golf for the Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy Open. The tournament hosted thirty junior golfers from ages 11-18. This tournament served as an opportunity for the golfers to qualify for the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship, at the PGA National Resort and Spa, in Palm Beach, FL.

Spain Trip 2017

Bobby Jones once said, “ I never learned anything from a match that I won.”   That quote resonated with most of our full time students, following their return from their tournament in Spain. Prior to the Global Junior Golf Evolve Spanish Junior Championship in Tarragona, Spain, our students have had a pretty successful tournament season. The Academy brought home several wins in both Myrtle Beach and in Hilton Head.

Our full time students are off to a great start this tournament season. This past weekend our students competed in the Hilton Head Junior Shootout in Hardeeville, SC. Our students brought home three placing awards: Fabricio took first in the 15-18 division, Angel took first in the 14-15 division and Jose took third in the 11-13 division. HJGT 2017

Over the weekend, our full time students participated in their first tournament of the year, the Myrtle Beach Jr. Challenge Tournament sanctioned by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT). The tournament was attended by our full time students, Junior Player Golf Academy’s full time students, as well as a few individual players. After being awarded the most improved tournament in 2016, Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy (GNCGA) located in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was excited to host their annual AJGA tournament.
